Agreement to Terms

By contacting FDP Handyman Services, LLC (“Company,” “we,” or “us”), requesting an estimate, or hiring us to perform work, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before engaging our services.

Scope of Services

FDP Handyman Services, LLC provides residential handyman and remodeling services in South Portland, Portland, Cape Elizabeth, Scarborough, Westbrook, and surrounding communities in Maine. The specific scope of work for each project will be defined in a written estimate or proposal provided prior to the commencement of work.

Estimates

We provide free, no-obligation written estimates for all projects. Estimates are based on the information available at the time of assessment. If unforeseen conditions are discovered during the course of work that materially affect the scope or cost, we will notify you promptly and obtain your approval before proceeding with any changes.

Payment

Payment terms are outlined in your written estimate. General terms include:

  • A deposit may be required before work begins on larger projects
  • Final payment is due upon satisfactory completion of the work
  • We accept cash, check, and major credit cards unless otherwise specified
  • Overdue balances may be subject to a late fee

Customer Responsibilities

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area, disclose any known hazardous conditions (e.g., lead paint, asbestos, mold), and secure or remove personal property from work areas prior to the start of work. FDP Handyman Services is not responsible for damage to items not removed from the work area.

Warranty

We stand behind our work. Workmanship defects reported within 30 days of project completion will be corrected at no charge. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, normal wear and tear, or conditions outside our control. Manufacturer warranties on materials and products pass through to the customer.

Limitation of Liability

FDP Handyman Services, LLC is fully insured. However, our liability for any claim arising from services rendered shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific project giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Cancellation

Either party may cancel a scheduled appointment with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a cancellation fee to cover mobilization costs, as specified in your estimate.

Governing Law
